People complained about it in destiny 1, so bungie changed it.
Some like it more and some dislike it more than destiny 1’s pvp.

I don't think anybody complained about having game mode choice lol.

People complained about lag and taking a little while to find players. Having 2 main playlists fixes that problem in a lazy way.
