As far as directly buying faction gears, Bungie said they would implement that for season 2 for Iron Banner. It would be cool if they do the same for the Faction Rallies.

I'd like to see that. Also there's a reason why bungie implement the token system. Weapon rolls are all static. This is the reason why token system is implemented. Otherwise it'll be too easy to get the guns we want. Can you imagine everyone running antiope D and wrecks pvp? I'd like to see random rolls again tho
-
antiope D is not meta. its FUN if you have titan auto loading smg exotic but it sure AINT a top choice in kinetic slot. but if you like it try running smg in both slots with the exotic titan leggings. You NEVER run out of ammo. downside you have to ALWAYS be nose to nose. antiope has range but it aint accurate at range

Edited by K=FC^2: 11/15/2017 4:53:53 AMThe only reason it ain't meta is because a lot of people DONT HAVE IT! I have one and it's very very strong. Guess what last weeks trials everyone was running antiope d and those who don't have it runs the counter part of it which is phillipis. It can be a meta if everyone has it. But that's not the point. Previously I said that the only reason bungie implemented the token system is so that it's hard to get specific guns for example antiope d. Because all guns have static roles. If everyone can freely buy them then you'll see nothing but antiope d. It's strong so people will use them just like last hope etc etc
It would be cool if they do the same for the Faction Rallies.
They should do it for every vendor.
-
Nah, the permanent ones are fine.
-
I disagree. If people could buy guns from vendors they'd be safe in the knowledge that they'd be guaranteed to get the gun they want eventually. With the system we currently have, you're not guaranteed to get something on your 10th, 100th, Hell, even your 1000th package. It's literally random. I'd rather put in a larger grind investment if I know I'm going to get what I want at the end of it. Honestly I think it was better in D1. You could buy all the weapons from the vendors if you wanted to use them and then you had rank-up packages for people who wanted to get God rolls.

bungie RNG aint random. RNG for Bungie truly is an oxymoron
-
Nah. While plenty of people argue it doesn't exist, with the anecdotal evidence of "I've turned in less packages than this faction has weapons. And it didn't give me the weapon I want", I tend to experience a smart loot system that generally supports a 2x packages to loot table ratio.
-
So you're countering anecdotal evidence with your own anecdotal evidence? Ok.
-
Precisely. While I have significantly more play time, experience, and time spent compiling and analyzing drop table information than most players, it is still specifically an anecdote of my own experiences with an RNG system, up against the anecdotes of players who have half-assed their progression, and severely underestimate how much they've put into getting certain gears.
