Thing is, at the end of D2s story, we dont see any of the Vanguard with their ghosts (see ending D2) so in my eyes they didn't get their power back (not light anymore as its retconned), so at the end of D2 the only guardian with a ghost is yourself. So im unsure the bit about Cayde 6 is right.

What level of stupidity is this? Did we see saladins ghost before rise of iron? Also we directly see caydes ghost in the campaign

The raid is cannon, and there's six guardians, so yes EVERYONE has their light back. The only thing stopping the light was the Cabal cage and the traveler t-bagged on that so the light is back.

Your lack of comprehension and oversight of details doesn't constitute bad writing on Bungie's part. - Cayde has his Ghost in the cut scene on Nessus after you've rescued him and met with him on the Exodus Black. - The Vanguard are almost never pictured with their Ghosts - you see them on rare occasion, but generally they are tucked away. - Your Ghost is constantly shown with your character because it is considered part of your character, and Bungie made the (in this case) poor decision to have the Ghost speak for you instead of giving you a voice.

Light has not been retconned from the lore. Only for progression. Light is referenced several times throughout the campaign.

We’ve already seen Cayde’s Ghost in D2, and most Ghosts stay tucked away within their Guardian’s “backpacks” most of the time. Just because u don’t see them doesn’t mean they aren’t there; everyone’s Ghosts didn’t just spontaneously die during the Red War, they just got weakened like our Ghost did

sorry thats just your theory, Go back to D1 and Zavala, Ikora, and cayde always have their Ghosts with them, their ghosts are dead as it says in D2 you are the only Guardian left whos ghost survived.

There’s literally a cutscene in the story where Cayde has his ghost with him. It isn’t a theory, it’s fact.

So bungies writing team are shite then, it is true. I guess they just get any tit to write the story as all their best writers are gone. I don't remember seeing Cayde with his ghost past any point when Gaul has taken the traveller. But guess that's me.

You're joking, right? We're the only Guardian who could get our Light back from the Shard. It called to us, and it's heavily hinted at the end of the last subclass quest that it only had enough pure Light for us.

Think that part may just be poor writing. Remember sav's song? There's a guardian who cries out "no please.....you've already taken my ghost" showing we aren't the only ones who still have our ghosts

Again, we saw Cayde’s Ghost alive and kicking in D2 so that already makes your theory partially wrong, but I guess I have to give it to u that we can’t see everyone’s Ghosts after we beat D2. Of course, now we’ve seen Osiris with his Ghost and using Light abilities, sooooo, yeah, I think that settles that discussion
