I think capturing the points should actually mean something. Our team has won with only one capture the whole game - that's not right. Control should force you to rush and whatever team has the 2 points for the most time should win. Kills shouldn't be counted for points, only capping the zones, JMO.

Yeah, but scoring is a little different in D2. While the situation you mentioned is possible, it's also possible for the exact opposite to happen, and it's a situation that I see pretty often. I've been in matches where only the top player on the winning team was positive. All of the other players had negative k/d's, but because they were able to maintain zones, and had more "advantage kills", they beat the team that had more kills altogether, and were all positive.

Zone Control is no longer in rotation. Referral to D1. Mode play evolves, some players don't, won't or can't, and the game passes them by. Happened throughout D1. Compare to other games\sports\past times around the world. Doesn't mean the mode needs fixin, it means some folks have capability or capacity issues in any number of ways which are often exacerbated by psycho-social disorders.

We used to have that in D1, it was called "Zone Control". It's one of the many modes we lost, when they developed D2.
