I think the crucible milestone is fine, but there should be one for completing all Ikora missions, her missions are pretty pointless to a developed character. Every vendor on the tower should have a weekly milestone for a luminous engram.
I'd even go as far to put a mini subscription model ($5/mo) that among other bonuses, gives a luminous engram when you decrypt 3 bright engrams. Then you make a milestone for completing all milestones (which requires the subscription) and go full blown microtransaction model. Jk, though it may boost enough cash inflow for dedicated servers
Ikora, Banshee and the Cryptarch need milestones.

There's already so many ways to reach max level I don't think we need more sources of luminous engrams lol just extra routes for people to hit level cap and be bored

It happens so fast already. Why make players wait to go run the raid with all their 305 buddies? I'm more likely to get a game after it is released if I know I can join up and be end-game ready within a few days. By Bungie's own statement this is a collection game. That means the "end game" is acquiring different vanity items. That's why these seasons are set up to have a roll-out of new gear every 3 months and end access to old gear. Do you think these are going to be new gear with unique perks? no, just reskins. If an old piece of gear had a good bonus, and they removed it, there would be an uproar from players who didn't have a chance to get it.

Edited by Navi: 10/26/2017 8:19:07 PMI'm not talking about the gear itself, I'm talking about the progression. There are already so many people at max level and once you hit the cap that's it, you're done. There's no point in replaying content if you don't like the look of the gear, plus you can get all the raid gear from tokens after you beat the raid so it doesn't take long to get a full set. AND you don't need to be 305 for the raid, 280 is the damage output/input cap so anything above that is not going to help unless you are running the prestige raid, which there's no point in running the prestige raid unless you want the same gear with a barely noticeable glow coming off of it. Once players hit the cap the amount of replayability drops dramatically especially since there's nothing really interesting to chase in this game.

You have to listen to Bungie, that's not the point of the game. Its all about collecting all the gear sets, its a collection game. Character progression is a minor part of the game and supposed to be over quickly.
