I was kind of miffed at this as well. I hated PvP so it was rather insulting to me that the game was trying to force me in there. I played the absolute minimum just to get the milestones. I went back for the Iron Banner too, but stopped the minute it ended. The only way I was going it to PvP was kicking and screaming.
