You agree with your son, but you tried to argue with gamers that been saying this since D2 was released? I guess it took your son to see the truth finally.
This game Isn't rewarding at all. I have explained this many times and gamers keep wanting to compare content versus incentive. It doesn't work and the proof for that is how little content D1 actually had and the incentive was twice of what D2 has offered. Now hard mode running the raid has no weapons in D2?
I guess this friends game Luke smith said about must be true. We wont reward you at all, but hay, You got friends that will suffer with ya lol

Firstly, I argued [u]nothing[/u] in the initial weeks (even a month) about the game. I didn't have a ton of time to play so I took my time, watched my kids play and formed more well thought out opinions rather than knee-jerk like most have. Don't try to paint it like I'm suddenly [u]seeing your way of things[/u]. Yes I was a supporter to the weapon and other mechanic changes and like I said we still are. After playing for a while and watching my kids playtime dwindle I am making comments about rewards and reasons to come back and play. That is the only truth I'm seeing at this moment. All the crap you stir up is nothing like what I see or what I do. I (we) still enjoy the game and are giving the correct kind of feedback and discussion that can invoke change. Not just running our mouths.

Yeah.. I have nothing to chase in game why would I grind for nothing? I played iron banner for a whole bunch of random meaningless stuff! I quit playing destiny 2. it's no longer fun there is nothing for me to work for or towards. I have completed the raid numerous times to get weak if not junk weapons/gear. It's such a let down to work towards end game, to do end game and get trash weapons/gear in return. Everything look the same and has bs stats that don't matter. The game is so neutral now there's nothing that stands out in PVP or PVE. It's all generic COSMETIC boring gear and weapons. At least in D1 there was gjallarhorn, Hawkmoon and many more that were exceptionally awesome! People had to grind for the epic gear/weapons with good stats. It gave you purpose to try and have the best, be the best and to later have a showdown with the best at iron banner.. That's how I remember D1.. I will say though I had to quit playing D1 before the dlc came out but at least I did vault of glass and crota ( I thought those raids were fun) because I moved overseas.. But yeah the old days were great.

Don't try to make this a "me thing" when this is about how this entire game is majorly lacking when it comes to incentive. Your son proved that by not playing D2.

You made it a [u]you[/u] thing my implications that I'm some how seeing [u]the truth[/u] (aka your truth). Don't play innocent. Everyone knows you're not. The only thing my son proves, to me and the point if the post, is that even a kid is feeling the rewards are lacking hence his incentive to grind is lacking. So despite some people stating that [u]the game is made for kids[/u] it's simply not true either from our perspective. Please don't try to spin my statements any other way or put words in my mouth thank you. It's what you do so I know it's hard to resist.

Actually no. I was already seeing lack of rewards from my own gameplay. And it's not a [u]truth[/u] it's still just a perceptions and opinion. His opinion just reaffirmed my own opinion. Agreed. The game isnt bad at all. It does lack the grind it did back in y3 but thats what happen when you get a whiny community saying the grind is too hard and now that they made it easy you get them saying the game is not rewarding. "No duh Sherlock you have whined it was too hard". Bungie delivered but it seems regardless on what bungie does youll always have that one group.

Energy weapons are not half as powerful. In lost cases they are more efficient but the reality is they have specific role. You obviously have players for 2 minutes and haven't had the patience to play it properly.

I hate it, I was at least expecting the raid to give me some game time. But now I'm like, what's the point of leveling up to run the raid when the level I am right now is really now different then reaching max. At least in D1 all the raids had some form of motivation for gamers to want to run them. What happen to this, it's a loot based system when the content doesn't give you any loot worth acquiring? Bungie needs to stop toying with gamers and get on the ball Big Time.
