Of course an uncapped frame rate is also dependent upon the refresh rate of the display in Hertz (Hz). Therefore a display with a 144 Hz refresh rate for example will allow a frame rate approaching that to be rendered properly without tearing with Vsync disabled, which reduces input lag. This is something that competitive FPS players on PC have known for years. 'Back in the day' we were stuck with 60 Hz monitors, but now with the advent of 144Hz monitors it's a new game so to speak. Consoles are convenient and relatively inexpensive compared to the PC and for many they work fine and are perfectly adequate. However, if one is discerning and seeks every advantage or doesn't want to be at a disadvantage then a PC can offer a superior experience.

Edited by zNapSack: 10/26/2017 1:14:27 AMIndeed. The ability to change FOV is also a significant advantage the PC has. An FOV of 90 for example is so much better than 60. The only drawback is minor distortion but in a competitive FPS game seeing the enemy before they can see you is a huge advantage. I've played with a FOV of 120 and it was weird but once one became accustomed to it, it offered amazing benefits. As in 'eyes in the back of your head' so to speak. We also quite commonly made major compromises to graphics quality simply in order to increase the frame rate. The game looked like 'soup', having virtually zero detail, but the frame rate was rock solid. Today, however, such radical compromises are usually unnecessary.

Indeed there are a great deal of improvements on the pc over the console version. Now I just need to get used to playing with Kb/mouse again lol

Edited by zNapSack: 10/26/2017 1:26:26 AMI still have one as well. Somewhere. I programmed the crap out of that thing! It was great for SIMs since you could automate complex procedures with a single button KB macro.

Congrats mate. My post was actually an appreciation for how good PC looks but I am happy that you are a real gamer.
