No. Seriously, no. Luke Smith is fine. He shouldn't of apologized in the first place. He never said anything that warranted an apology. This community is just full of awful, entitled men acting like spoiled children. Smith and his fireteam made a fine, if imperfect, sequel to Destiny. It has problems, but overall D2 is a enjoyable and worthwhile game. Instead of enjoying what they made, you've all decided to throw endless tantrums.

No Little Man , You are sadly mistaken .We as consumers have every right to bitch about a product that we paid money for that is sub par .this is not a free to play game and if it was it would have at least the same amount of gaming content as this was without the $60 sticker on it. until we stop giving gaming companies money for preorders and micro transactions, similar behaviors will also occur. the current state of the video game industry as a whole imo has turned into a scummy cash grab.

You should look up the definition of entitled. Because it certainly doesn't have anything to do with buying a product that doesn't even come close to living up to expectations. When you purchase something you are entitled to get that thing. That's how consumerism works.

Its so enjoyable. Not. My D2 playtime cosisted of logging in to see what Xur has and collect engrams from clan. No need to even do a milestone. More public events. Not. I am 305 and should not take damage from the same enemies that spawn when I was level 5.

Wow, Bungie's hand is deep in your butt.

This post makes me smile cause it’s so true I’ve just been trolling the forums preaching this exact statement and the butthurt meter is off the charts

This post is true and refreshing.

It’s clear you work for bungie...there’s the door 🚪

This grossly mischaracterizes the totally legitimate reasons people are pissed at Luke Smith. Destiny 2 isn't "fine," its an insidious, unapologetic cash grab that slaps its most loyal fans in the face with the giant, uncompromising smack of a 30" c*ck, and then has the f*cking balls to say "I'm sorry. We're listening to you ;) " and then slaps you again when you try speak. Lol ;) right? Let's get f*cking real here bro, its the 21st century. Triple a titles that are "fine" aren't good enough. Games should be shocking us awake, not smothering us to sleep. They should be innovating and introducing new technology and new capabilities with every new sequel. But lets also not pretend that companies like Activision give a sh*t about making great products. This is how it works, they find some patsy dork with enough technical knowledge to run a team, which is itself made up of other dorks, and if the dorks produce a profitable result, great. Making a good game secondary, because most of the time, the technical patsy dork in charge has no idea how to create a game of any real artistic or emotional merit. They just comission the artists to make the things that look pretty. Remember KOTOR? or the original mass effect? Things that made us go "wow!, holy sh*t" that is what art can do, that is what great games can do. Great games can change minds. But Destiny 2, is not a great game, its nowhere near a great game, because it settles for the middle, it accepts its own mediocrity, unapologetically. It doesn't take any chances, it doesn't try to innovate. But who cares? You dumb suckers will buy this sh*t anyway. And then when you get wise to the scheme, activion just fires the first dork, hires another one, announces boldly that they're going to "change directions," and then starts the whole sideshow over from scratch. And you still keep buying their sh*t. So Idk... You want a solution? Go protest. F*cking boycott them, go down to activion hq and form a picket line.

"it doesn't take any chances, it doesn't try to innovate." This is the truth. To describe the game in a word, "sterile" is what I would use.

Sexist.

I love how when it comes to games people forget that these are businesses selling their product to customers. A product that they want those same customers to continue spending money on after the initial purchase in the form of DLC and micro transactions. I bought the 100$ version that includes the season pass because I assumed that the sequel to Destiny would be Destiny, but better. But it’s not, not even close. So that’s $40 worth of DLC that I ALREADY paid for that I might not want to play if the game isn’t drastically changed soon. Calling customers that are universally unhappy with a product that they paid for “entitled” makes you look like a moron that doesn’t understand how the real world works.

I’m in the same boat. I absolutely loved Destiny 1 and All it’s Lore, D2 seems to be heavily lacking in this area.....unless I recorded every bit of dialog during the main story and all the ghost scans as I find them. The Grimoire from D1 is GONE, you can only find it on other sites now. Static rolls removed any reason to chase that white rabbit gun, Public events are more rewarding than strikes. Vendors aren’t vendors anymore, you just hand in tokens and hope you don’t get your 22nd Wildwood chest piece. Secrets............there are none. There’s a bunch of beautiful new planets and not on secret area (so far). I mean FFS have a world boss show up once in awhile that takes a large group to take down. The Raids seem more cosmetic based than any special gear. I guess we don’t want to make anyone feel bad because they don’t have the really cool stuff. Wtf happened? Would adding anything special into these open worlds broken the bank? We all can only hope that the coming DLC’s will fix some of the issues..........but this is exactly how we felt in D1. It’s like an endless loop!!! Damn Vex

True except in D1 we still had VoG (which was the only way to reach max light) and al the amazing exotics that kept us playing lol, D2 doesn’t even have that.
-
Edited by PapaHeavy2: 10/20/2017 9:16:44 PMAgreed, VoG was AWESOME Hell even the weapons/ armor in CE made me want to play
-
Hell yeah, Facemelter (what me and my friends call Sword Breaker lol), Black Hammer was amazing pre nerf, Hunger of Croat was the closest thing to Gjallarhorn at the time, Abyss Defiant was like a legendary Suros Regime, they were all great
-
Lmao, HoC WAS my Ghorn for quite awhile. RNGesus and me don’t get along

I've got an early morning tomorrow, really gotta get some sleep, could you keep the sucking noises to a minimum? There's only so much slurping I can tune out.

There are literally only a FEW people here who gave constructive criticism not convoluted by entitlement, self importance and enormous amounts of play time. They are the ones who ENJOY the game and want to see it truly improve. Most of the people complaining only want to satisfy their need for this or need for that.

So basically "only my opinion is good and everybody who doesn't agree with me is an entitled idiot" You sir, or madam, take being an absolute hypocrite to a new level. Well done.
So basically "only my opinion is good and everybody who doesn't agree with me is an entitled idiot" You sir, or madam, take being an absolute hypocrite to a new level. Well done.
Is that what I said? Did I say their opinions don't matter? or are you taking it out of context just to fit what you have to say? I'm not sure how you came to that initial conclusion. I have no issues with opposing opinions. If you present your opinions and perspective like an adult. Most opinions are not presented in that manner whatsoever. Instead we get posts like the OPs that serve no true purpose in making this game better.
-
So only the people who accept sh*t and smile about it get to have an opinion? F*ck that, that's what real entitlement looks like.
-
Making it known that something isn't up to par, that it is bad, is not a tantrum. There's this endless implication that anyone under a certain age is just entitled and that's the problem - I think the root of that problem is a generation before them who would do ANYTHING to avoid talking about a problem. That is how you create entitled people. Never telling them when they are wrong, and when their effort created something completely underwhelming. Voicing displeasure is. Not. Whining. It just isn't what you want to hear.

F*cking true that, brother
