True this. The only difference is they removed the bars so it's not quite as infuriating. However having played D1 for thousands of hours, I can tell it's exactly the same.
It coincides with player loss, 50% have quit. But also it feels like the cache at bungo HQ builds up n causes lag.
It's the exact same engine, exact same netcode, exact same worldwide mm, exact same playing teams of 4, iexact same 10 tick rare, it's absolutely terrible.
Why do I die to what feels like 1 bullet? Why do I die instantly to a guy using the same gun as me, but I can't even get his Shields down? Why does my orb appear 5yds behind a wall? Why I randomly die to nothing, even in pve? Why do I constantly play full teams of 4 from Myanmar? Why do I spawn into enemies nonstop?

We experience that lag which causes the raid to glitch. Remember Crota? The worst is Tues and Mon nights. Right after reset and right before the next.

Reset has nothing to do with it. Reset just changes a version number in house. Player numbers affect it, and location. It's also still 10 tick rate, which is appalling in 2017

Dude you just nailed D2 crucible on the head. It's absolutely infuriating and I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one experiencing this. I honestly thought I was losing my mind.

I love it when I see a guy n shoot him with my last hope n he turns, 1 hit melees me, n I instantly die. I love it when I see a guy hardscopers n before I can raise my gun he 1 shots me with mida, like wut? I love it when I can't pick up heavy. I particularly love it how I can hit a stormcaller with 2 rockets n do zero damage, yes I pop mine n he 1 hit melees me n I die, wiry him draining half my super n still having his Shields.

Same. Got 2 hit by a Mida yesterday at full shields and health. Also had rockets pass right through other players. Got lucky and had a rocket pass right through me as well. Hate dying but definitely feel bad for the guy who shot it cause he should've killed me.
