Yeah this is one of my biggest gripes with PvP. Even setting aside the glaring annoyance that their PvP design created a boring, lackluster, uninspired, and downright cringeworthy teamshoot meta, "ghost bullets" 2.0/hit registration might as well stick a fork in it. I'm not fully (or even partially) convinced it is due to latency. There have been countless times where I have unloaded a full magazine into someone only to have about half register and of those half maybe another small percentage count as headshots when I know for a fact based on recording that much more were headshots. Not to mention when you start an engagement with someone before they see you, then you melee them, they melee you, you go to melee again, but the second melee doesn't register and they proceed to melt you with an SMG or sidearm. It's unacceptable for such a big company with so much cash flow backing it to make something as flawed as their PvP is while expecting their consumers to drop 60+ bucks plus the assumption of buying future DLCs. I love Destiny. I love Crucible. Only console game I've ever felt "addicted" to and it is terribly sad that I might have to end my relationship with Destiny 2 weeks into buying D2 because these glaring issues that they have had over 3 years to resolve are still prevalent and show no sign of being changed. As consumers, we don't have to settle. Prove to us that your product is worth our money and our time and listen to the majority of the community.

Do you have a netduma? If you're at 88 to a local host that is freaking terrible . in game you're probably north of 200 sometimes. That means you're going to be a few frames apart from other players. One of the reasons I think people are having trouble with hits counting when they shoot at someone is because that person might be right in front of them on their screen but on the host they could be a couple feet away. This happened in Destiny one sometimes when they really turned up the skill based matchmaking. You could actually register hits by shooting next to someone if you got into a match that happened a lot in

I was just going off the detailed network stats on xbox, I used to be around 250-300 then I upgraded my internet situation and get around 100 or lower. It's a huge difference playing other online games but when I play destiny it doesn't make much of a difference from my crap internet days in D1. Im no internet wizard but I pay other people to do that stuff for me.

  • That's like satellite internet numbers. They should not even be allowed in online gaming. It's not a stable connection. 100ms is too slow for a proper PVP match. What's crazy is you say you haven't noticed much of a difference. That likely means the latency in the match is even higher which is why we can dump clips into people and nothing happens. In one match you may feel like a God and in the next you can't kill anyone. Game is out of balance

  • I'm on a T1 package, $450 per month. The guy that upgrades my tech put me on it. By not much of a difference I mean there are still really laggy games in pvp but not as many as I used to have.

  • Why in the world are you paying so much for so little bandwidth? Where are you located. 150mpbs down and 15 up with a 10ms local ping is 50 bucks in most major American cities

  • I'm in Australia where internet is behind most of the world, they have something called nbn but it's not in my area yet (another 3 years to wait till its put in my area). T1 is to my knowledge the only way I can get better internet.

  • I'm just trialling it, I don't mind paying for something if its worth it. Only had it for just over 2 weeks so far, thought it might make my games better but it's a little disappointing. You should see how much the cancellation fees are if I cancel lmao. I've have money so it's not too much of a worry.

  • I've been having hit registration issues, with the guns it usually is due to latency for me but what I have issues with is the melee. Swords hit players but they don't take damage, arcstaff hits players but they don't die, sword swings and misses but opponent manages to land a melee, shoulder/shield/hammer charge not registering. There's definitely something wrong with the hit detection. And from observations it appears to have something to do with the opponent being airborne, in particular (at least for melee) warlocks that are gliding.

  • I am in the same situation. I think my days are numbered. I also completely agree with you.
