Way to cherry pick. Why not quote the verses before where it actually establishes context to the verses you recited? Oh, wait!! That would destroy your narrative wouldn't it? You should get a job at Fox. They are also really good at cherry picking to suit a narrative. CNN is also great at it.

The verses before hand are also lists of consequences. None as severe as the ones I listed. That's why I listed these two. These are the most severe. Not cherry picking, just quoting. Unless quoting barbaric quotes from your religion is considered cherry picking because you don't like it when someone points them out?

You also neglected to mention in your original post that those last two were the result of continued disobedience and breaking of an agreement.
Unless quoting barbaric quotes from your religion is considered cherry picking because you don't like it when someone points them out?
It sounds barbaric the way you put it without context. It's like describing a divorce but only listening to one side, making the other side sound like the biggest douche.

  • Doesn't change the fact that the act is barbaric.

  • It is the result of escalation. It is completely up to the Hebrews as to whether or not the punishment gets that far. It is not barbaric at all in that context because the Hebrews are given a choice and given several outs. If they get to the point where they are enduring the punishments listed, that is completely their fault. They were warned. They were given chances to avoid, but made the conscious decision to continue breaking the covenant.
