I would definitely recommend a ryzen 5 over Intel for cpu. Great performance for less especially seeing as it comes with a good cpu cooler.

As for GPU, if you're only looking to play medium, the GTX 1050ti is capable of 60fps at those settings (almost that at high in some games like bf1). it's also priced great because it isn't good for crypto mining, so it's not inflated at all, maybe $150 - $200 (I use GBP and it's like £150 here). I hope your first build goes okay. After 2 and a half months of constant research mine finally arrives today. Remember if you want to follow up other people's advice with your own research, benchmarks are the most accurate thing you can use. Look up some videos of a ryzen 5 1500x or 1600 paired with a 1050ti and see if the frame rate is acceptable to you.

Okay thank you! Hope ur build goes well. What did you choose?
-
Thank you, most of its here now. I was aiming for being able to to play most things at high/ultra at 1080p 60fps for as cheap as possible. As far as the main components, I went for a ryzen 5 1600, 16gb of 2666mhz RAM and a Geforce GTX 1060.

U aren't worried about heat, constantly playing on high settings? And tell me when the build is complete!
-
I am a little but my case has good cooling solutions so it should be fine. Just finished putting it together last night had a few set backs, e.g. putting the PSU in upside down, but it's worked out.
-
Sounds fun! Good luck with it! Hopefully it will go well.
-
Wow! You aren't looking for faster ram?
-
Nah, Ram speed doesn't increase performance enough in my opinion to be worth a motherboard that supports it. 2666 is a nice middle ground.

What sucks for me You have NOTHING no monitor no OS no keyboard I have to buy everything new. Unless I could transfer windows from my laptop to my desktop??
-
You can transfer your Windows key from your laptop. The key should be on the bottom by the barcode.
-
Okay!!! Amazing thank you!
-
No I've had to buy that too, It's just that ram, CPU and GPU are most important. In terms of gaming performance. I bought windows new, but someone told me you can get it free, with some restricted features if you already have it elsewhere.
-
Okay. How did you purchase windows? Usb disk or something else?

Alright
