Also if Oryx truly does live on another plane of existence. Then there's no way we can possibly kill him in our world or our plane. Then what we fought in "Kong's fall" must be just a manifestation of Oryx. Just like killing him in the campaign. Just another manifestation. If he can truly take anyone and anything. Then he must be able to take other forms that he has "taken"

 • The dreadnaught is Oryx's throne world, the way oryx made it, it bleeds into the outside world and makes it vulnerable. According to Sword Logic if you challenge Oryx, Oryx must accept or else he is betraying the sword logic. Oryx could have easily destroyed us just as Crota could have but that would betray the sword logic, if they beat Oryx, Oryx deserves to die. That is the way of the sword

 • After he killed his worm I don't think he needs to follow sword logic. Pretty sure he fled to his throne room after we wiped the floor with him in the TK campaign

 • He can't kill his worm, that's how he maintains his power.

 •
Yes he can that's how he got the power to TAKE
No, no he killed one of the worm gods of secret knowledge so that he could take the power and convene with the darkness itself. But he did this because knew he would be unable to feed his worm at his current rate and realized that he had to take in order to survive.

 • We killed him in his throne world. According to the Sword Logic that is the basis for the Hive power, he died his true death and is gone for good.

 • Oryx is as dead as it gets. That was the whole point of the raid and engaging him in the ascendant realm at the very end. this is also why his death animation is so different compared to when killing other hive (even majors) that appear to turn to ash.

 • This is all explained in the lore, however I can't bothered writing a small novela to explain it so you'll have to take my word for it.
