If you've come here to post some sarcastic non-comment along the lines of "bye" or "can I have your stuff" jog on, hit the X on the top right of your screen, go do something constructive with your life. For the rest of you who give half a f*ck about the destiny community, I'm done with this game until something drastic happens to make the endgame worth doing and not tedious, bland, boring and down right frustrating. Lets look at the endgame activities one by one.
1: Strikes - Completely worthless, you get more loot doing public events and public events take at worst a quarter of the time assuming you got unlucky with spawns. The strikes all hold no real lore significance, add nothing significant to the story, and to top it off you can't even choose which strikes you want to do anymore. You know in a sequel you're supposed to add functionality, not take it all away, and I can't think of a single good reason to remove strikes from the storyline and make their selection completely RNG.
2: Public Events - They actually made them fun, when you're not zoning in and out of an area over and over again trying to find players to do them with. I've lost count of the number of times I've zoned into an area only to find it devoid of all players, or found players who have no idea how to trigger the heroic event and gormlessly watch me carry orbs around while they pop the spider tank in the brain case. Does it not occur to people that maybe the lv20 dude is doing that stupid s*it for a reason and they should perhaps copy him? It doesn't help that bungie does nothing to explain heroic events to new players.
3. The Nightfall - I'm going to say this slowly and in big letters so you get it.
TIMERS. ARE. NOT. FUN.
They aren't fun, never have been, never will be. The nightfall was plenty challenging for it's gear rewards beforehand, it doesn't need this artificial difficulty bulls*it added on top. I get it, you want people to feel challenged for the rewards, but the flip side of that is players feeling cheated when they lose to a timer instead of the enemy.
4. The Leviathan - Boring, tedious and a complete waste of an otherwise beautiful setting. What the hell was Bungie thinking? With the exception of the final boss, these aren't raid encounters, they're glorified puzzle rooms, and the 30 second revive or wipe timer on normal mode is just another lazy way of artificially creating difficulty.
The Baths - Never died to mechanics, always wiped to one dude dying to adds and dragging the rest of the team with him because you either drop your mechanics and die, or don't revive and die.
The Pleasure Gardens - Lost count of the number of times the dogs bugged out and saw the people jumping on the platforms above them. Also if you're going to force stealth on people, maybe consider putting working stealth mechanics in your game, or maybe just don't do it since this is a MMOFPS not a Stealth action game.
The Gauntlet - You're literally having us jump through hoops, and someone somewhere at Bungie thought this would be fun? Also nice troll with the 'only 3 people have to make it to the end but if anyone dies the 30 second wipe timer will f*ck you', thing, that was a nice touch.
Oh and you know what else I love, not getting loot for any of this shit, not being able to spend my tokens until after completing the raid, having to find the other half of my reward in yet another stealth game, having my keys removed from my account on reset, having to walk through a maze every time I want to get back to the boss I was at, and after all this finding out that the loot is garbage and has nothing worthwhile over more easily obtainable loot.
Other stuff - Removing the variety of perks on guns turns keeping or trashing a weapon into a binary and therefore boring choice. Forcing PvE players into PvP in order to maximize their light increase for the week sucks. You still didn't fix the hunter jumping bug nor the black screen bug from year 1 of the first game. Most (but not all) exotics just don't feel powerful at all. Oh, and the companion app's new look sucks and it never bloody works properly.
And I'm out.

I agree with everything your saying, maybe apart from the nightfall part a little as if you run out of a time it is likely because you didn't dps the boss enough or died a lot in which case the boss kinda beat you anyways. Although what you say is very valid as a year 1 Destiny player me like many others are not put off by these new mechanics and will play regardless. Each to their own though, if a game is stressing you out it isn't worth playing so you've done the right thing in getting out.

QQ more. Bye now.

Edited by JD: 9/21/2017 4:02:25 PMActually 4 people have to make it to the end of the gauntlet and u have more then enough time to revive someone before u have to slam and the timer runs out. Beat the pleasure gardens like 6 times already never bugged or glitched out once. The removal of random rolls was a good idea. Never wipe at baths more then once that part is so easy. Leviathan overall top 3 destiny raid. Strikes are amazing but yes there is really no point in doing them more then once. Timed nightfalls are awesome actually gives us a challenge. No you don't have to rush through and skip all the enemies it's actually better to plan your attack and kill them all. Companion app works flawless never had one issue. The only thing I agree with is no point in doing strikes at all. So BYE

40 RepliesI agree with all of it. To the people saying "just wait for the update/patch/hot fix....-blam!- that. We all paid for a finished/complete game. Not a broken beta test.

12 RepliesYou typed all that and are quitting after a few weeks? Maybe you need to do something truly constructive lmfao. Dude. Really? D1.. how many years did it take to get it right? How hard were the first few NFs? When did we finally get heroic strikes? More content and more legendary/ exotic weapons and armor? Hint: not at the damn week 3 mark. So goodbye, and you'll definitely be back. Do yourself an early favor and stay. I'll see you on the Nessus, if you're on XB1 add Senpai Franky and we can figure a way to make the game work for you til we get new content.
-
4 RepliesWe don't care if you're quitting, and this makes you look like a dramatic whiner. Just quit if you're going to quit, not like your post will change anyone's mind about how they feel about the game.

4 RepliesEdited by GG ALLIN RIP: 9/21/2017 3:36:10 PMHow many of the people complaining were the same people who complained about D1 and swore they wouldn't buy this game?
-
They had forever (3 years +) to make this better... Its not a newwwww game.. Its really lacking... Its sad
-
I dont quit, ive been having a blast and havent touched the raid
-
6 RepliesYou have "Schizophrenia-social-anxiety-anger-disorder". You need to quit and find something else to do like knitting or basket weaving. Seriously, you got F$#@%ng issues to throw a rant like that.
-
3 Replies>Hasn’t even beaten the raid. >Complains about it 🤔🤔🤔 Don’t make me say it a third time....
Git gud
FYI I ran raid twice in one day in less than an hour each run, one shotting every boss
-
Haha! Lmao. Saying you are quitting and I look at your profile. Apparently you have all THREE of your characters 275 or over! lol can't believe you post this crap.
-
see ya in a week.
-
Lol if you hate the game so much then why are you coming on to their website and writing a SUPER long complaint. If you are going to quit, you don't need to complain on destiny 2's website, which apparently you hate so much! Why are you going on to their website?! If you want to complain, go do it to your friends (with that attitude I doubt u have any) or complain to a wall. So... ????? I honestly don't know what you are doing

12 RepliesIt’s actually a “<“ button, not an x. So maybe you should get your facts strait before sounding foolish. Bye 💁! PS, can I have your stuff?
-
1 ReplyStop bitching like a little girl. No one gives a shit if you don't like the game srry
-
How bout' you go buy a pack of Redbull and then say to yourself "The Book of Revelations is the best chapter of the Bible" in broad daylight?
-
3 RepliesLeave. No one cares if you hate destiny or not. If your gonna be so negative about this game then why are you here? Was this post even necessary? Why did you pick up D2 in the first place? So many questions.
-
Bye won't miss you kid
-
Your companion app never works? Mine always works...I'm posting from it right now. Bye-bye

4 RepliesI could sprinkle this post on my chips..... To be honest though, he does have some really good points. Unfortunately he isn't as patient as some or understand that changes will eventually be made. The "beta" that we all got to play was actually pointless, the truth is, this -the first couple of months, thats the real beta. That's when bungies gonna say "hey, this isn't working for people" or "why is nobody doing x activity?" Be patient, make your voice heard as a community, but don't be a salty little bitch about it.

1 ReplyTo me it feels like frustration was The lead Word in making this game. Frustration is The feeling you get when you have utterly failed in your attempt to make a game challenging. I dont mind a challenge one iota. But I do mind doing a challenge With a metaphorical twig shoved up my ass. The Nightfall is nothing but a chore. A cavity fill of Gaming.

You're not wrong about alot of things you say... What I'm trying to say is does anyone want to do 3 nightfalls later?
