It's quite simple. The swastika was once a peaceful symbol. -godwinslaw!- repurposed it to represent their beliefs. Now it represents hate. The same has happened with 'kek.'

  • Except kek doesn't represent hate.

  • That is what I am trying to get at. It wasn't repurposed by the alt-right. The Kekistan meme was created by people who despise both the alt-right and the extreme left. It was created as a way to mock identity politics. This is why the biggest part of the meme is the Kekistani "ethnicity".

  • It has been adopted by the alt right. That doesn't mean it was created by them.

Pepe was used by the alt-right before the Kekistan meme was created. The alt-right was thoroughly annoyed by the use of what they considered to be "their meme" by those who were mocking them.

  • They also took the Aryan concept from the original Indo-European people that took control over the Indus River Valley. They basically established the basic rules and ideas that became Hinduism, and seeing as how the Swastika is a Hindu symbol it makes sense why they would use it.
