I say three playlists
Mayhem, Quick, and Competitive
Competitive scoring is based on wins 5 point and losses -3 points, ties are 1 point. First 10 games you are put into games with people who haven't completed their first 10 games too, after that you are matched with people with your score.
Rewards would be competitive shaders, armor, and weapons. You get a reward every 25 points, no farming the same score twice.
It's a start, I'm no game designer.

I like the idea of the rewards and the first certain amount of games, but the ranking can't be like that to be a true ranking. Something like SR from overwatch, DTR, or Elo would work better.

I agree, it would get much harder to gain points and easy to lose them later on, there would be a currency rewarded for progression past a curtain point, get a new vendor
