Didn't he say that Shaxx had his own sword and the one being seen is his own while yours was in the vault?

There was only one willbreaker (oryx's sword of which we made Raze Lighter, Dark Drinker, and Bolt Caster). That means there is only one of those three, Raze Lighter, and only one of those. I don't think Luke quite got that when he responded tho

Ever hear of a replica? Kinda like what the Ace of Spades is.

Ace of Spades is just another handconnon but special. There can only be one of those exotic swords. A replica raze lighter is just another pretty looking sword

You realize that Ace of Spades is the same exact handcannon Cayde-6 uses right? He had Banshee make it for the Hunter. As for Raze Lighter, Shaxx studied the craftsmanship and Sword Logic of the Hive after our first encounter. Whose to say he didn't learn how to make a copy of something hive based?

Well, the swords Guardians use are reverse-engineered from the Hive. It's not improbable that Shaxx analyzed the Willbreaker crystal when he was forging our sword, and created a replica for his own sword. Speaking of which, for something that's suppose to be a Raze-Lighter it was much smaller than the ones we used.

Thank you! People really forget that there is the possibility of replicas. Ace of Spades is an exact replica of Cayde's weapon, whose to say it's impossible to make a replica of a sword or of the Hardlight. [spoiler]I don't see the logic in people saying "hardlight was destroyed in the vaults, so it shouldnt come back ever again!" I mean, it was made by a foundry that still exists, so it's already logical to assume they still have the blueprints..[/spoiler]

The only problem I could see with that is that the foundries don't exactly like giving their blueprints away. You had to participate in a competition for Tex Mechanica in order to get the Chaperone, and literally scour the wilderness for the Khvostov and the Gjallarhorn.

Hardlight never had any lore other than "it was made by omolon". Gjallarhorn was made as a memory for fallen Guardians and wasn't really made by a foundry, but rather a couple of people and Khvostov isn't even made by a city foundry, it's a weapon you scavenged from the parts of a bygone era.
