What does it mean in america then? In britain it can be used to describe a females genitals, as in "shove that up your twat." To describe an uncooth person or persons, as in, "-blam!-ing hell, dave's a twat." To describe someone who has had a little too much to drink, as in, "pete was completely twatted last night." To describe the actions of a foolish person, as in, "what bill got up to last night, was utter twattery." A room full of ladies could also be described as, "a complete twatfest." I dont think i missed any, feel free to let me know.

  • In America it is pretty much akin to a toned down c*nt. Think f*ck to motherf*cker

  • I'm American and the word "twat" should be an everyday word from now on.

  • Yeah that's fine, but you got to learn to pronounce it properly. That's definitely an a in there and there are no o's in sight. T w a t Not T w o t

  • That is genuinely the only way I've ever said it. With an "a". I don't know how else you would say it lol

  • Any American I've ever heard say it has pronounced it incorrectly, that's all I know. Maybe you guys just say a's differently. It's like niche, I've never once heard an American say that word correctly either.

  • I see that explains a lot specially for someone like me that live in Australia. I guess it a case of cultured differences
