Let me go ahead and answer your question in two ways.
Yes people will play on pc.
No you will not ever see them because they will be at work or dinner while the bots play for them.

Bots will be quite difficult considering Bungie has said the game blocks any addition of code into the files. You could run macros but pretty pointless for a freaking FPS.

Yes, for them the grind will NOT be real.

Bungie is being pretty strict about programs that inject code into the game to prevent this kinda thing. I doubt it will be a big issue.
