Playing past lore events?
I was curious would the destiny community like to play the battle of six fronts, battle of twilight gap, meeting Dredgon Yor (owner of thorn) and shin malphur (owner of last word) and helping Shaxx do the counter attack at twilight gap and seeing the Titan, saint-14. This is just a idea and wanna see if anyone is interested in this idea.
Edit: wow, I'm surprised I've gotten so many likes on this and how many people have said they'd like this, I love this community and I hope we can always have a impact on the destiny universe, whether it be helping non raiders through raids or making theories to understand the games, you do you guardian.
Edit 2: wow, we have so many likes, do bungie check forums? because if so they might think about it due to the reaction it has gotten.

They need a way to reset our progress for d3. Maybe a vex time -blam!- up at the end of d2 brings us back to these events for d3. We play through it all, altering the time line along the way and conclude d3 with the "death" of our guardian. D4 opens with the ghost reviving us and offers a retake on the original destiny that we'll all be feeling nostalgic for by then, suitably altered to account for changes we made through our actions in d3. I'm not saying I want this exactly, but I could easily see it happening.

1 ReplyPersonally, id rather see a narration of those events thru the eyes of people in the tower ( ikora Shaxx cayde) with a flashback video describing the event in full. Kind of like story time with your favorite guardian that you ask for when you are near them.

6 RepliesI wish in D2 Bugnie implements a feature where there will be a rare rare public event that effects the lore FOR EXAMPLE The battle on the moon against crota A number of guardians join (Idk alot maybe) They have to fight 1000 knights and weaken Crota so he retreats. If you LOSE the lore is the same (lose moon) But if you WIN the lore is changed (moon kept crota weakend Eris's team lives) get what I mean?

1 ReplyMaybe there could be a story behind playing those past lore events. Perhaps the Vex began to tamper with the City's most important moments and history and we need to use their time gates to go back in time to these events and correct everything that was tampered. Like for instance, Vex began tampering with the Battle of Twilight Gap and made it so more and more Fallen are arriving then there should have been. To make sure history still goes down correctly, it's our job to eliminate those extra Fallen before they can arrive to the battle.

4 RepliesI want a spin off game that's like Star Wars battlefront. You could battle in the reef wars, the catastrophe, six fronts, or twilight gap. In the reef wars you would be an awoken soldiers or fallen. For Twilight Gap and Six Fronts it would be combat frames and fallen. Then for Mare Imbrum you could a guardian or a hive. Then there would be a few different PvP game modes like control, elimination and team death match. There would also be several PvE missions whee you play as a different legend. For example you could be Zavala on his trek to the city. There would even be a raid as the iron lords fight siva for the first time. This would likely come out in 2 1/2 years then one year later D3 would come. But that's just my wishlist.

agree it would be cool if we can play trough some of the lore stories. Maybe a pc only rts game ( like halo wars ) where you can relieve the huge battles in destiny. Like the battle of the 6 fronts, or 1st raid on the moon where hunderds or guardians died at once . And a tell tale like game for the smaller but very important lore stories. I would buy, and play the heck out of both games.
