What do you think of my dreamers?
The Dreamers:
“ Not all beasts come from the third realm, some come from the void or the celestial plane. Dreamers come from the void and so are alien to the material plane.”
Dreamers are large four legged beasts that live within caves that are buried into the fabric of reality. These caves are often confused for wormholes or even black holes. These caves curve and cut through the folds of reality, they are created by the dreamers of course. Younger and smaller dreamers will have these caves on planet, which gives of more energy than most blue stars put out in a lifetime.
Dreamers use these caves to dream inside and create worlds that are just as real if not more real than the physical plane. In these dreams they are gods and anything that happens to someone in their world. Happens to them in world they came from. Dreamers are usually peaceful creatures but can become aggressive when awakened and will trap people or groups of people within their dreams.
Adult Dreamers can be as big as entire planets, babies when first born are large as a cites. When they are awake, they create a field around them that protects them any threats they may not notice. These shields are a natural function and automatically happen when they are on the hunt for food. Their favorite prey are a type of space whale, which can create electric storms powerful enough to destroy planets. Dreamers have a fire breath capable of destroying worlds and they are able to call on the void to empower them even further. They have an immunity to paradoxes and actually love to devour paradoxes, this goes in line with their power to warp reality itself.
Dreamers are only weak when they are dreaming. So they created the avon to protect them. These small creatures can bend the rules of reality to create weapons and constructs that keep the dreams safe. They are very fast and strong enough to lift mountains. It is believed that they are from the dream universe of the dreamers. Pushed into reality.
From my book that i like to write out of order:
"Shush boy, you will wake the dreamers and you don't want that." He whispered.
"Sorry, but aren't the movers worse than the dreamers?" The boy whispered back.
"It's complex but usually the movers are worse but some times the dreamers can catch them and place them inside a dream. A universe where they are god, its like a simulation but worse because it's more real than anything they ever knew."

Well these Dreamers seem really cool. The fire breath and paradox stuff seems like stretching a bit too far though (being immune to becoming entrapped in a paradox is fine because of their origins, but eating paradoxes is a bit ridiculous in my opinion)

Edited by Ghost593835: 8/16/2017 7:53:01 PMI was thinking it was a bit silly to be able to devour paradoxes and the fire breath i thought was kinda cool. Being immune to paradoxs is good enough i guess. Do you think a trapped vex could tell they were inside a dream? A universe made by the dreamers

Maybe something besides fire breath, I just can't image beasts that titanic breathing fire. Maybe ice or searing radiation (radiation breath would actually be very similar to fire breath) A Vex would definitely be able to tell; they know how physical law works so they an immediately identify a place like a dream that follows different rules. For example, they were immoderately able to identify that Oryx's throne realm did not follow traditional physics and immediately began trying to figure it out, eventually making Quria who could understand the sword logic
-
Indeed. I see, would the vex be able to do anything with in the realm like they tired with oryxs realm?
-
I'm not sure. In Oryx's realm the Vex were able to gain power because other beings who are in the sword realm can gain power there, but in a dream only the creature having the dream should have control. Do the dreams of Dreamers work like our human dreams (ability to put real people in it excluded)? It's most likely that the Vex would know they had no power in the dream so then try to kill the Dreamer from the inside (I'm assuming that a Dreamer mind works like ours and they would actually die if death is experienced in a dream because the brain will think it's real). I don't know if killing the Dreamer would release all the entrapped beings or if it would kill them, but it's worth a shot

Edited by Ghost593835: 8/17/2017 10:04:28 AMA dreamers dream is very different from a humans. Its basically another universe that they dreamer has full control over. Killing the dreamer in the dream would wake them up but killing a dreamer in its own reality is like trying to kill god. Their minds work very differently and if it is killed in the real world. You also get wiped out.
-
So their minds can't be effected by harmful stimuli in a dream? Being able to control every movement and event in the dream makes sense, but it still can't control the thoughts of a different being trapped in the dream, can it? Although it doesn't have to be able to control the mind to be able to completely prevent any attempts to kill it in the dream So if its killed in the dream or wakes up everyone is freed, but if it dies in real life than everyone in the dream dies?

Edited by Ghost593835: 8/17/2017 11:22:46 AMYep, killing it will only wake it up in the real world. No it doesnt but it controls the reality. So it doesnt need to control you. Remember, what ever happens to you in the dream. Happens in the real world as well. Well yes and no. If it knows you are not there you will become free when it wakes up. Only problem is you will have to move very fast. If it remembers trapping you in its universe, then it is able to keep you think as its play thing Killing it in the real while its asleep, will kill everyone who is trapped
-
Well at least if the Vex wake it up they will be able to teleport away immediately And while it's asleep they could probably find a way to kill it, as they really probably wouldn't care at all of a few of their units die inside the dream. I don't know if they could find a way to kill it while it's awake though
-
Well that's if their teleportation would work in the cave. Sleep they would have to remember the avon are watching over them. On Portal, hmmm would be interesting to see the vex fight an awakened one.
