I liked Sheva "I need a hurrb" Alomar more than Chris in RE5.
RE4 had the worst cast of characters. Hated that dwarf castellan. The entire game was bad imo.

What about Ada,Leon,Krauser, and Wesker.

Ada was fun to play as and I enjoyed her side mission. I didn't like how Leon changed or how Krauser was able to mutate. I don't remember Wesker in RE4 but after Code Veronica I stopped caring about him.
