Just read you already bought the parts

Wanted to go all out this time.

Edited by Soggy waflezz: 8/11/2017 8:20:46 PMWhen it comes to games higher frequency is always better than more cores, but with a 1080ti and 4K there's gonna be a negligible difference then you'd have with a 7700k cuz at 4K most the stress is on the graphics card Most games only use up to 4 cores, but still that's an awesome system you're gonna have. Idk if you said it but what kind of monitor do you have ?

Currently using a Acer 32" Predator Led G-Sync XB321HK. It's only 60hz though which makes me sad, so i'm currently on a lookout for a good 1440 high-refresh monitor that's at least "28.

I had a 4K 60hz monitor no gsync and got a acer predator xb271hu 1440p 165hz with gsync and it's amazing, it's like 700 bucks or so, 1440 is definitely the sweet spot for gaming

I think all IPS monitors have this problem, but if it is anything like the one I currently have I don't think it is noteworthy. I am wondering how the size feels though? 27" seems a little small.

I'm pretty sure they're the same exact panel just depends how lucky you are and acer was like 50-100 bucks cheaper compared to the asus monitor when i bought it, I don't notice any backlight bleed on mine and I don't feel like it's too small, I wouldn't go any smaller but 27 is pretty nice

But that refresh rate is a game changer. I have a bunch of bonus points at my main store so I'll get it cheap, might just go for it. The one I have is decidedly the best one I've ever tried, but the low refresh rate is annoying.

Yeah I didn't think a higher refresh rate would make that much of a difference but I'll never get a monitor with lower than 120 fps again
