Well, I do find it curious that the speaker just isn't gone, but the whole damn contraption he stands by. Eitjer that was some serious precision firing, or something else is up.

The Iron Temple has a similar room when the Banner is open. I think it's just a fancy looking doodad to interact with/gauge the Traveler or something?
