WTF are you and the people agreeing with you even thinking? We have no idea what progressive features or lack there of is going to be in D2, no one has played anything other than the beta. Do you read the first 2 pages of a book and then stop there, cause the first 2 pages didn't tell you everything that's going to happen in the rest of the book? And Gordon Ramsay is a jackass.

  • Gee, look at D1, I'm sure that's a HUGE sign knowing they haven't changed in the last 3 years.

  • What did you expect/want them to do within the last 3 years?
What did you expect/want them to do within the last 3 years?
What do I expect? Them to to at least try to act like a AAA gaming company. This acting like it's 2009 is ridiculous.

  • Well what does that mean? What're they doing that you don't like?

Long story short, slowly removing the core of the game along with the incentive it use to have. It would be nice to see them move forward for a change and actually learn how to improve on what has been created.

  • I'd argue that core gameplay loop is still there. Using your abilities and movement to augment your gunplay is how the beta played for me. Of course to a lesser extent than D1 but it still played a role

  • It's still there, just saying it's slowly being removed. Each year that's gone by Bungie puts more and more limitations and removing things from from the characters.

It's simply not looking good thus far, the only changes we've seen is to patrol. The changes to the game, like movement/gunplay are much worse than D1, and that's not going to change from the beta, which is a major concern. You don't need to read the whole book to know what it's about...... Ramsay is a TV personality, what are you talking about?!

  • But you do need to read the book to determine whether or not it's a good story being told.

  • LOL! No, you don't. You can usually tell if a book suckd before the 1st chapter. When was the last time you read a story to the end that in-between you were thinking "why can't i decide if i like this 95% of the way thru the story?"

  • So are you talking about 95% of the way through? 50%? Or after the first chapter ? Your reply was kind of confusing

  • My apologies. I saw that after i posted it with my phone. What I meant was you don't read to the end and say "Yeah that ending sucked, but I couldn't figure that out befire I got there." You get a sense of how you feel about the book earlier on, usually back before you even get past the first chapter. in regards to Destiny 2, we have less than what you find in a book to be sure, but you can make an educated guess based on past performance by Bungie, the beta and what has been released. A full review would be best, but following your gut feelings is sometimes best too.

  • Unless the story so far has been shit, why read on?

  • Did you think the first story mission of D2 was that bad?

I'm talking about gameplay mechanics. Story's for games are a bit irrelevant for me, as that's not where I spend most of my time. Story was pretty crap in the beta, though. The mix of humor and loss really doesn't work out well.

  • For the story mission? I don't remember it attempting to be very humorous. Gameplay mechanics seemed fine to me.

The first part seemed as if they were talking to a 2 yr old. "Remember how I told you, you fly too fast?", "Forget I said that, fly fast". The whole thing is just worsen by the lack of a character voice. That ending was pretty cringe worthy as well. If the whole story is like this, I'm probably not making multiple characters, just to avoid playing it again.

  • Never liked the new ghost. But then again it is rated T for teen

  • "T for teen" has nothing to do with ruining the ghost's voice actor and replacing it with a shitty shell of it's former self.

  • I like gordon, he's entertaining. But you are right, cant bury the franchise yet, not until we actually play the finished product. They are right about bungie though, going down hill fast since joining up with activision.

  • He's a jackass to other jackasses. The first few pages of a novel are very important, it's the hook. That being said our preview of d2 in the beta was more like reading a few random pages from a first edit.

  • Agreed about Ramsay. In most novels the first few pages (or 2 pages to be more accurate from my previous post) can sometimes be the hook, most are just back story or introduction, and rarely do the actual first few pages contain enough of the back story, introduction or the hook to inform the reader of what the book entails or even entice the reader to carry on.

  • Intro to the main, creating setting and plot, a glimpse of the wwwwh?'s. lol, I remember my last lit professor telling me over twenty years ago if you can't get me hooked by the end of the first page, stick to poetry. She was a sexist bitch, lol. Anyways, not arguing. Most of it comes down to the author's style, their success, and the genre.
