No they are extremelly weak and slow and their ability is awful compared to the others

  • Their supposed to be weak and they are not slow at all, their ability is very useful for when your trying to get out of a sticky situation or when your trying to pump damage out on a boss as fast as possible

No class should be deliberately weak. If theyre supposed to be weak they should be super fast but they arent. Its nowhere near as useful as the titan or warlock especially when the warlock has a twilight garrison type ability which is just about the same thing

    - They're no longer faster than other classes. Speed is now uniform and entirely gear centric. - Takes 3x melees to kill an opponent with max health. - The iconic knife, as well as Blink Strike, are now entirely removed from Arcstrider. Both have been replaced by a Striker style punch, sans Charge or Blink, that is also curiously delivered with the trigger hand after holstering your weapon... none of which makes any sense. - Dodge takes forever to recharge, is slow, and leaves you very vulnerable (even to PvE tracking) - Dodge is actually often slower than simply strafing or reloading as normal. - No invisibility to close distance or force radar dependent opponents to use their senses and actual caution instead. - Arc Staff is notably weaker, and sees no speed increase. The Darth Maul fan service flips and poses are predictable/ vulnerable. The only effective solution to this I've seen, where people argue 'how an Arcstrider is meant to be played', is baiting inexperienced players to chase you, or spamming the attack button in the air to gain a vertical advantage, and using the R2 Diet Titan Slam™ from outside of the enemy's view... which is beyond cheap/boring IMO, and bound to be nerfed quickly. If that's how any characters is 'meant to be played', it's pitiful and I'd rather move on to a different title entirely. There's nothing really 'super' about hiding, or having to spam something in the air to even be useful. - If attacking toward the screen with Arc Staff as the super ends, the hunter spins 180º back to the camera facing orientation. Meaning, outright leaving your back exposed to the enemy for no explicable reason, if pursuing an evasion and the super suddenly ends. - Gunslinger feels more precise, but notably weaker. Especially with respect to Golden Gun, which no longer kills on impact. - Tripmines still do not stick to opponents, despite the above. - Arc grenades seem weaker in my limited experience. Recharging them, regardless of class, takes forever. - The lack of custom skill trees strongly pushes Hunters as more predictable opponents, instead of the variety of unpredictable builds previously available, such as with agility perks, invisibility, dodge, etc. In short, there is nothing really surprising or fun to be found in the only class I cared about over 3 years, and stuck with since day 1 (despite typically being the weakest), on 'cool' and 'unpredictable' factors alone.

  •
Their supposed to be weak and they are not slow at all, their ability is very useful for when your trying to get out of a sticky situation or when your trying to pump damage out on a boss as fast as possible
They are the same speed as other classes, now that there's no skating. So a class that is designed for up close and personal attacks, with a 17ish second dodge cooldown is also the weakest? Sounds terrible. And I have done a study, but logically speaking, they are the lowest dps class since you're talking about pumping out boss damage. Warlocks get an actual buff that increases damage. Titans get a shield that lasts awhile, and all they have to do is crouch to auto reload. And crouch again. And crouch again. Etc. Hunters? They dodge once to get a free reload, but the animation is only slightly quicker than the actual reload, plus they have to wait to dodge again. Meanwhile, a titan couches multiple times with no animation. So how can hunters pump out a lot of boss damage again?

  • Well I like the hunter, if you don't like it go play another class, simple as that.

I think we're in agreement that they're 'cool', and have 'potential'... but as for D2, aside from aerial spamming that super (until that's inevitably patched, or removed entirely), they are complete garbage. They're slow, fragile, AND weak. Lacking original skill-trees, such as mobility buffs or invisibility, that also makes them uniform and predictable.
