Here's the kicker, to both sides of the aisle: Everyone believes what they're doing is [u]best[/u] for the country. That's what makes these arguments amazing to watch play out. Everyone fervently believes that the other side is ruining America by the decisions they make. Doesn't that make you want to stop and think for a second? If both sides believe the other is wrong, then that means the solution really has to be somewhere in the middle. Democracy isn't simply the existence of two parties under one banner. It's the unification of the common man and his neighbor. That does not consist of verbally or physically brutalizing the neighbor until he concedes to [b]your[/b] point of view. The best options are available when everyone works together to find the solution that leaves both parties satisfied. That isn't compromise, which leaves both dissatisfied. [spoiler]It's called cooperation.[/spoiler] And it's messy, but it's [b]productive.[/b] We need to wake up and realize our political parties won't save us from anything. Our leader is not our messiah. And neither will his replacement be either.
