Yet some still push for socialist policies in the US
Can you point out what socialist policies are being supported in the US? Do you understand that socialism is an economic system, and is different from social programs that are funded by taxpayers?

Universal health care

Edited by Mad Max: 8/2/2017 5:36:36 PM
Universal health care
That's not socialism. That's a social program, subsidized by taxpayers. Just because "social" is in the word doesn't mean it's socialism. Our military is a social program. Social Security is a social program. Medicare is a social program.

It's a socialist policy and you don't need to have a socialist government to have the policies around. But having the policies around lays the ground work for a socialist government to come into play and well if you look at Brazil, it didn't work well

Fear not.
Thanks to Trump Also still doesn't mean that you go on without monitoring the situation
...it has literally nothing to do with Trump. Considering a universal healthcare system is not a move toward socialism.

See, the difference is that the US isn't an oil country. That is where the issue crops up. Countries whose fortunes are made on oil are often heavily corrupt. Venezuela, Nigeria (capitalist), Middle East (theocratic), etc.
-
Don't fool yourself, are government is pretty corrupt too. We just have a harder time proving it at times
are government

are
The more important difference is that we've got cross-combative corruption. Oil groups vs tech giants, etc.

"It will work this time".........*roll eyes*

It never works and they should realise that, and thanks for reminding me to never let corbyn as PM because he will make the UK even more socialist and bankrupt us

Completely ignoring the fact that our greatest Prime Minister was a socialist, Clement Attlee.
