From somebody with 1600 hours in Warframe, just stop. PoE is not going to be a game changer, nor will it make Destiny 2 step up its game. Mainly because Destiny 2 is too late in development to actually make drastic changes, but also because Destiny isn't competing with Warframe, Warframe is competing with Destiny. Not sure if you were playing during Destiny 1's release, but the first month or so it did, Warframe had a massive drop in population sizes. Destiny never took huge population hits because of Warframe events.

Destiny also lived up to being a hellish-shitstorm that many, if not most PC players have decried as a laughingstock. And as someone who's sitting at 1894.6 hours in to Warframe, Plains of Eidolon has the potential, if executed properly, to change the face of Warframe. That being said, no free to play game competes with anything. S'why Paladins has its own cozy playerbase of 36,000 concurrent players even though it's literally just free Overwatch. You'll need more than "Lol Warframe isn't as good as Destiny". As for "Warframe took a major hit when Destiny landed", I'm looking at the charts for both Steam and Warframe's stat tracker and I see the lowest dip since 9/9/2014 being a week of less than 40k concurrent players. Which then rebounded soon after to a peak of 60k for about 3 weeks before dipping back to the 50ks. Try again.

It's taken them, what, 8 hotfixes to fix the Opticor post-CoH? And it's still bugged?
That being said, no free to play game competes with anything. My point was, Destiny is too big of an IP(regardless of your opinion on it, it's a big IP and it's here to stay) to be affected by Warframe. • 1: Warframe has its own massive following. And with PoE, from a company that releases quality updates, like the one where the Opticor is entirely bug free and you're still talking out of your ass that came with Chains of Harrow. 2: Destiny is a massive IP. Call of Duty is also a massive IP. You know what they both have in common? They're common examples of how not to handle making video games and why Activision is in the top 3 most disliked of publishers. 3: Partially correct. Warframe's stat trackers also have numbers for both PS and XB. But someone like you, who clearly relies entirely on 'Well somebody once told me..', wouldn't know these things, would you? Round 3?

And with PoE, from a company that releases quality updates, like the one where the Opticor is entirely bug free and you're still talking out of your ass that came with Chains of Harrow.
Update 21 fixed Opticor by making it good, but it was still slightly bugged by having a larger than intended AoE. Even though people said this was fine, DE didn't care and took it into their hands to "fix." https://forums.warframe.com/topic/811064-chains-of-harrow-hotfix-2103/
Fixed Opticor not being able to damage enemies outside of a Frost’s Snow Globe when fired from inside the Snow Globe.
https://forums.warframe.com/topic/813247-chains-of-harrow-hotfix-2104/
Fixed the Opticor not having it’s 1m Punch Through.
https://forums.warframe.com/topic/813821-chains-of-harrow-hotfix-2105/
Temporarily removed Opticor beam thickness until it can be tested more thoroughly.
https://forums.warframe.com/topic/817066-chains-of-harrow-hotfix-2107/
Opticor beam now has a radius (thicker more cylinder shaped beam) that will allow you to hit more enemies with a single beam. Increased the Opticor AoE damage radius from 3 meters to 5 meters. Critical Chance and Critical Damage Multiplier now apply to the AoE. Reduced Ammo capacity to 200. Fixed being unable to destroy Nullifier bubbles with the Opticor. Fixed being unable to kill enemies inside a Nullifier bubble or Eximus Snow Globe with the Opticor. This also fixes being unable to hit Lephantis or Sargas Ruk at times.
https://forums.warframe.com/topic/819116-chains-of-harrow-hotfix-2109/
Opticor now benefits from Critical Chance / Critical Chance Multiplier Mods (the existing beam always did but the radial AoE damage did not).
I could go more in depth about how most of these "fixes" actually just broke the gun even more, but I think the fact that it required this many hotfixes speaks for itself. Do you think I don't read patchnotes? Lol. Did you even read the subreddit/forums during the first couple weeks after CoH? Nearly every other post was complaining about how the Opticor was broken again.
2: Destiny is a massive IP. Call of Duty is also a massive IP. You know what they both have in common? I never once said Destiny was a great game, just that Warframe's updates do not effect Destiny. I don't think Bungie is worried about what DE is cooking, but I can guarantee you DE is timing PoE to release around Destiny 2 to keep people around. • Sigh. Kay. So. Round 3. 1: Opticor's bug fixes were rapid fire as all hell. The gun, now in it's working state. All those updates? Jun 30 July 5 July 7 July 13 x2 These numbers? What's with that weird frequency? It's like they pushed the updates out in, what, a matter of days? And when they still had issues with it, they took the time to dedicate a set of people to work on it? My God, that's horrible. It sounds like.. like.. competent development of a game! Unacceptable! In comparison, Bungie decided to remove the option to effectively utilize a farming strategy because enough of their playerbase bitched about it. Now, that's proper development. As for wether or not Bungie is concerned, of course they aren't. They're busy still raking in cash from unsuspecting gamers and/or idiot sheep who couldn't tell a AAA title from a shiny metal pile of crap. The point of this post is to express the hope that maybe Bungie, in all their glorious ineptitude and idiocy, will learn a lesson should they -blam!- Destiny 2 like they did Destiny.
