Unsure. I have cancelled my pre-order though.
Without going into details, the beta is a massive disappointment (particularly in PvE, story notwithstanding). The feeling is shared throughout my entire friend's list save for the most hardcore PvP-only streamers. A friend who is, by quite some distance, the biggest Destiny fan I've ever seen with more hours than literally (not figuratively) 99.9% of all players was heartbroken.
It's just.. ..meh.

if you read Bungie's weekly update they have addressed some our complaints and say they will be fixed for the release of the full game. I don't understand how some veteran players are getting upset our "heartbroken" in your friend's case, by only playing one story mission and a strike, which in my opinion with the changes they have spoken about, are much more improved. It's literally just a sliver of the entire game, it would be like reading the back of a book and then calling it horrible or uninteresting. And the story "not withstanding," i think it's was a pretty good introduction for the entire plot and you can't already say that it won't be good if the game isn't even out yet.

The build is many months old, they've fixed 99% of all the bugs people have been reporting, and I think it's wrong to take [b]1[/b] story mission and [b]1[/b] strike and say the story isn't good. No offense but I hope you regret your decision.
