It's good but not good enough to be a sequel. The beta could basically be a small dlc in D1.

exactly it's a BETA

And a beta is supposed to exist for ironing out wrinkles and show off the new graphics. You are supposed to push the game to the limits to stress test everything, not have low res and slow movement. The floor drop in the strike was like something I saw on PlayStation 1.
