I hate the complaints about the change with Rolan I read the first book when I was like 10 and fell in love with this world, yeah sure I wanted the movies/TV to follow the books but I understand why it's not and why the changes I have no hype, I just want to see Roland and Ka-Tet come alive

Honestly I've not understood any of the hate on Idris Elba. I think the dynamic between he and Matthew M. (I'm not gonna even try to spell his last name) is going to be amazing. I think people developed a very specific idea of Roland and I think Idris is the embodiment of that in every way. He's just not white which I think is an unnecessary detail.

I so hope it will. The book series was amazing, and that's without the other like 30 books that tie into it.

When I first heard about it after reading the story I though there was no way it would work as a movie. Then I heard of the changes that were being made and I figured my expectations of a movie being bad were confirmed. Then I saw the trailers and all my old expectations have been shed and I'm absolutely looking forward to seeing it.
