The combat can be hit and miss, particularly early in the game before you unlock everything. The melee combat is just bad imo, but you never really need to use it anyway. The story is pretty interesting, if you like sci fi. It has some plot holes, but it's a video game so it's not hard to look past. The open world is very Far Cry. If you've played that this shouldn't be much of a surprise. Overall it's a good-great game. I do find myself having to be reminded of that, and not start hating it because of the dumb shit I see the ponies saying. They have a tendency to make me despise all things Sony despite the fact that I bought a PS4 and a Pro.

 •
Allowing Ted to have any sort of access to their project at all made no sense. Elizabet clearly thought very little of him as a person, and as an intellectual. She wouldn't have allowed it.

Also, pretty much everything about Sylens is just a bit too convenient. Particularly the way he captures Hades at the end. That entire scene wasn't necessary imo.

I've read that Rost's past is explained in the game, but I must've missed it somehow, which really annoyed me. He was built up like he was going to be one of the main secondary characters in the game, and then dies unceremoniously, and is thereafter mostly irrelevant. It's almost Game of Thrones-esque.
I definitely agree him having higher acces than the Alphas was dumb.

Also, pretty much everything about Sylens is just a bit too convenient. He's one of those characters that sets up everything for his plan. The seemingly minor act of giving Aloy his spear was probably specifically designed to transmit the AI over to.. Whatever that was.

I've read that Rost's past is explained in the game, but I must've missed it somehow, which really annoyed me. I knew he was going to die, by rule of the Hero's Journey.
