Well it works in other games. Of course it would have a slow rate of fire (think BTDR or slower) and have a pathetic reload time and slow the player down.

That just doesn't make sense.

Look at Titanfal 2l. They have LMG's take up the same space as Assault Rifles and SMG's and LMG's aren't overpowered.

But the smgs are projectile weapons and other classes of guns also have an insanely high ttk.
