Why can't her story be a mystery? I think I actually like it that way

Like how the Lost Smoke monster was way cooler before we found out what it was.

This kinda reminds me of Boba Fett. In the original trilogy, he showed up and had his bit in the movie. No one really knew who he was, what his deal was (other than being a bounty hunter), etc. Kind of mysterious and intriguing. 2nd trilogy comes out and we get to see Jango and Boba as a kid (awwww). Pretty stupid to just throw that in there and half-assedly give some background to who Boba Fett was. Having seen that, Boba's not really an interesting character anymore. Were Bungie to try and explain the Stranger or who she is or where she comes from, pretty sure they'll -blam!- it up and just do it to shut all the fanboys up without giving any thought to it. Seeing as Destiny is dead, better just to leave things are as-is and leave the mystery unsolved.

Sometimes leaving it as a mystery is more interesting than filling out the story.
