I was hit with a prettybig revelation seeing Chloe in that wheelchair. I thought Ihated her up until that point, but seeing her in the wheelchair hit me..
I wish it wasn't just a binary choice at the end, though.

Absolutely agree with the Chloe thing, there were definitely some moments that pulled the rug out from under you in regards to some characters. Started noticing the 'Chose option A or B' being more common in theses types of games. It can feel a little underwhelming when you, the player, can think of an option C that makes more sense too.
One big problem with its ending was how desensitized to Chloe's death yoiu were by then. In the alternate timeline, I croed when Chloe asked us to kill her. That scene was really amazing, actually. Super emotional, wasn't forced.. But man, it was terrible for the story. Because when Chloe asks you to kill her at the end it's so.. Lackluster by comparison. She died enough times by that point I became desensitized to her death. One thing that would've been great is if Max actually experienced that desensitization. One of my favorite scenes in Stein's;Gate was, quote; "How many times do you think I've failed? I've seen her die over, and over, and over again.. And before I knew it, I became desensotized to it." Seeing him so broken right there was really powerful.

I can see where your coming from, for me the ending(and I suppose the epilogue) was more about Max having to accept Chloe's death as a finality. At every death Chloe suffered Max always had back up plan or second chance. For me Max's lack of being desensitised was more about her having to accept Chloe's death/giving up trying to save her at every turn.

I know, I get what they were going for, I just don't think it was done well. Rest of the game's great, though.
