The lance/staff/javelin weapon thing is arguably the best melee weapon.

I disagree. If it WERE a lance, it would be cool, but it's a bo staff. Which is less cool.

More range So its already better than blade

From a mechanical standpoint, I LOVE Arc Strider. From an aesthetic standpoint, the staff is super lame.

It would be if you could throw it otherwise it's pointless to have it and not just a blade. That is unless you're just trying to covert up that it's not actually a new subclass and just a reskin.

Exactly its just a reskin. However its better as the lance wont shortstop like blade did.

You're assuming a lot and the short stopping in D1 had to do with hit detection not what weapons he hunter was holding. And a blade could still be just as good as they're basically telling us that our new supers super special new feature is that the hit detection isn't utter crap like it was with BD.
