even in halo they added new enemies along with the old.
they also brought back guns from the old halo games into the new one. that battle rifle and pistol are almost as iconic as MC is.

Because there's SO many UNSC guns...

They barely added anything new from Halo 2 to Halo 3 enemy-wise; Halo 2 added Brutes, which are covenant; Halo 3 added new types of Flood, which were still flood; Halo 4 added Prometheons because it was a new trilogy by a new developer. Destiny 2 is adding new types of Cabal, so looks like there is what Halo 2/3 did by adding to the Covenant or Flood. It's a dumb thing to be pissed about, play "Anthem" if you want a new type of game to play.
