Just in case some of you dont know this, the "Destiny Item Manager" for Chrome web browser has a section that automatically dresses you up for Tier 12 (if you can with your equipment)
It works amazingly well because it also allows you to choose priorities in your set up and then builds the rest. For example, if you look at mine build which i made last night, I dragged Voidfang Vestments into the chest area, and dragged "increase reload of pulse rifles" into arms area, as those were my priorities. The program filled out the rest, and even gave me Tier 12 configurations to choose from (5/5/2, 4/5/3, 4/4/4) etc. It works so well I can do it right before a match starts.

Ishtar Commander app also rates all your gear on every character and in your vault. Gold is tier 12. So you can more easily keep high stats while having a complimentary loadout. Every time you get a new piece you look at it in Ishtar Commander and keep all gold tier armor until you get a vault full of stuff.
