This cast was ok, but there wasent enough criticism on the issues that are prone to arise from d2's changes
The new weapon system offers 0 diversity. In pve, kinetic damage is gonna be useless, so i predict energy scouts coming back to the standard pve weapon.
The strike boss presented was just another generic bullet sponge, so snipers are coming back as the standard power weapon.
In pvp, with 4v4, and a slower pace, the game is now officially halo. The game is no longer about playstyles but playing around team shooting. So all you are gonna see is scouts and handcannons, just like halo. They are the most wall bangable, they offer the most damage to an enemy who has not engaged you yet, and they are the best for team shooting since 3 handcannom shots are easier to get out as a team than a bunch of auto bullets. And most of all, they are precision weapons in a slow paced arena, (that screams #1 weapons, they are much easier to hit)
Id rather they stick to the old system, the new one only reduces our choices.

Holy crap Orpheus- I leave feedback for 4 months and you stir up the pot again? You rock buddy.
-
I kicked the Hornets nest dude.
-
Yes you did- I leave feedback and now Sols is an enemy? What happened Orpheus? I usually listen to the podcast- but I've been dabbling in Offtopic.
-
Slow down there, hes no enemy.
-
Slow down there, hes no enemy.
No I meant that I've seen 2 petitions now calling for truthcast to go down :(
-
Yeah. Im not that party. But they arent wrong
-
Yeah. Im not that party. But they arent wrong
I'm going to investigate- I already see some stuff he normally wouldn't say being said. (Quite hurtful too). Not quoting anything tho.

Go ahead

One cannot give feedback on a game they haven't played nor played enough to even know what feedback needs to be given
-
D2's gonna suck shit, you know why? Cause Bungie is working on it. If you can't make a game good in 3 years then it's time to find a new job The game will not change as long as the company remains the same👎🏻
-
Its not hard to understand the implications of the changes. Its still the same game yet, changed up and somewhat built upon You act like people somehow are clueless. 4v4 and a slowr pace with this ammo system, is halo. Its not hard to see that
-
yup weapon changes don't seem good and movement speed is the big nail in the coffin for me , that's what made it destiny .
-
When people already make rant/nerf posts and act like they've played it and used every gun combo etc... it's a "clueless" case for sure. For all we know they have even more additions and such (weapons etc) But at this point no one can make a judgement without fully playing and experimenting
-
Yep, just a bunch of empty promises like in D1 You have to EARN trust and benefit of the doubt, Bungie has not done that at all👎🏻
-
Dude, we already know how the games gonna play put. Destiny but forced to play like halo. The only real things that are different are the power weapons, but they are so insignificant, they make no differencw. Pvp is gonna be boring if they go through wih this snail pace 4v4
-
Id rather they stick to the old system, the new one only reduces our choices.
Bump. ESPECIALLY if they are going to separate PVE from PVP. If you are going to separate the two anyways, why keep a universal loadout? Doesn't make sense. Had we known this was the direction Bungie would go in when we were debating D1 balance, we would have emphasized the need to restrict the new loadout scheme to PVP.
-
Exactly. I understand it in pvp, but not in pve
-
Yeah. A good compromise solution to this is to have a "flex" slot in PVE where a second elemental primary can go OR where a special weapon like a shotgun, sniper, or FR can go in PVE. And in PVP, it will be limited to just a primary. This would allow players who sound like they WANT to run around with a second primary the freedom to do so, and it will also allow players like myself who want a more traditional loadout. Everyone gets what they want! I don't see a problem with it, especially when Bungie seems to be making so many compromises to broaden Destiny's appeal to more diverse crowds. Some people want to run and gun, others just want to sit back and play smart. There's no reason why Bungie can't accommodate both.
-
Exactly. I Thought they wanted us to have freedom
-
and the streamlined sub -class sucks big time
-
Freedom is all about having choice, not limiting choice. It would have been nice to see the defender titan updated to include the roaming super, and not have his super entirely replaced with it. IMO, Bungie has -BLAM!-ed up big time with D2 by not actually listening to the desires of the community and instead imposing their vision for what they want the game to be. That is all well and good so long as you accept that not everyone is willing to fork out money for YOUR vision of the game. And one of the things that has pissed people off about this game is Bungie's obsession with HOW we play, rather than whether we have fun WHEN we play.
-
Couldent have said it better
-
I was gonna write this big thing about how you're speculating in just about every comment. About how that despite your experience with this type of Weapon layout we still have very little knowledge in how Bungie in implementing things. Instead, I'm going to save all of this and when the beta comes out and you are wrong about any of this I'm going to post it and show you that you were wrong. If you are right I will also do that but I'm betting I won't need to do that. I feel that you and many others are upset because they're controlling the 1HK weapons that you more aggressive players have relied on. So you're looking at everything with salt-filled eyes and it all looks bad.
I feel that you and many others are upset because they're controlling the 1HK weapons that you more aggressive players have relied on. So you're looking at everything with salt-filled eyes and it all looks bad.
2 things. 1- the controlling is the issue with this company. Stop controlling and let gamers play how they want to play. That itself is ruining the experience for a lot of gamers in both mods. 2- I'll agree gamers have relied on things in Destiny, but who caused that with their lovely "rotation" better known as Nerf things and call rotation. Then apply it across the entire board.
-
1- The company has every right to design the game for how they envision it to be played. If players dictated how every game played there'd be no need for developers. "Freedom of Play" can only extend so far. There still needs to be a defined way to play. 2- Bungies initial iteration of PVP had no development. It was meant to 'test' out our PVE loadouts. When it started to become popular Bungie wrongly decided to try and change the base way that PVP was implemented into something that it wasn't designed to do from the ground up. Mitigation was attempted by nerf and the rolling metas. There was no way they could keep special weaponry powerful (which I believe they always wanted) and at the same time viable in this setting. What they did between the last 2 tunings is left us with powerful weapons that we can't use all the time. This was to get us used to the idea for what they planned in D2.
