Last I remember, it had a lot more "oomph" and ease of use in Titanfall 1.
My only deal with it now is how you have to be accustomed to it if you intend to pick off targets from longer ranges seeing as how the bullet gets some significant vertical drop that messes with its accuracy.
I've found that just using the target indicator scope works well enough in most cases.

intersting. i just use that factory scope for familiar feel. i never even messed with that one.

After all, it is easier to hit a target when they have a bullseye painted over their entire body, y'know? That plus it helps spotting targets that peek out of buildings.
