Destiny 2 Quick Notes Info Dump (Closed)
Okay here we go!
First bit of info from Zavala voice actor
Zavala will be involved in the action & fighting for his survival
Destiny 2 will be a new beginning for everyone
The vision for D2: A world that pulls you in, amazing things to do, always someone to play with
Red War campaign seems to be huge
Titans can summon shields (Sentinal)
Hunters can summon spears (Arcstrider)
Warlocks can summon a sword (Dawnblade)
New "empowering rift" ability
Class Abilities: Can be used by each class regardless of your current subclass. They recharge faster than Supers, but slower than Grenade/Melee abilities.
Titan- Throw down an energy cover/wall
Warlocks- Throw down some kind of AoE ability. Not sure what it does, but it looks like it grants healing.
Hunter- Was not shown in the stream, but it's rumored to be Shadestep.
Minigun confirmed
Grenade launcher confirmed
Dubious Volley confirmed
Ghaul is here because he believes the Traveler should have chosen the Cabal. He feels the Traveler is owed to him.
Kinetic, Energy, & Power weapon slot. No more primary, secondary, & heavy slots. Offering more freedom for weapon choosing
Crucible is now 4v4 across all game modes
New HUD in crucible shows if enemies have super & picked up power ammo
New capture & defend mode called Countdown
Can launch all activities in the world without going to orbit
Public events have heroic objectives
World's now have adventures, characters, side missions, dungeons, materials, treasure maps
New rpg type map
Four new worlds Titan, Io, Nessus, Earth
European Deadzone is the largest place ever built by Bungie
Titan is where Zavala will be located. Ocean planet
Nessus is entirely transformed by the Vex
Io is a very sacred place for Warlocks
All of the world's seem like they are open world. Not much was shown though

2 Repliesi watched the live stream and felt pretty hopeful for the direction that D2 is going in. that said, what i wanted to hear more about was our guardians; customizations, sparrow/ship battles, our new inventory/vault space. maybe this will come out closer to launch. this was a good event. looking forward to seeing you all out there in the new universe

What we have seen was expected, new worlds, strikes are back !? Nightfall are back!? Raids are back!? 3 new worlds to explore!? What about the other worlds we already had? They announced this with pomp and circumstance, new stuff that would be also expected after 3 years of the launch of the original IP, etc, etc... ...but what about the dedicated servers for PvP, separation of PvP from PvE, etc!? And for me the kill was the 4v4 in all PvP modes. Very bad decision to me. I have to think about it a little more about this stuff, but it seems to me that we are going to have more of the same.

no dedicated survers. what a good thing. if you look at CoD, weapons that suck in the campaign are glorious in multiplayer and vice versa. i like the fact that weapons are consistent across the board.

We have to hold 2 primaries and the heavy slot and special slot is combined. The snipers better be super powerful if this is the case...

1 ReplyIf i interpreted it right, the relegation of Fusions and Snipers (possibly Shotguns) to the "Heavy hitter slot". Definitely a result of the complaints about the over usage of Specials in the Crucible that has plagued the forums since Year Two. Wasn't a Year One problem because people had other things to complain about... Thorn, TLW, Hawkmoon, Suros, Vex et al.

Since this is primarily a PvE game there sadly probably won't be any dedicated servers; hopefully that isn't the case though.
