Destiny 2 Quick Notes Info Dump (Closed)
Okay here we go!
First bit of info from Zavala voice actor
Zavala will be involved in the action & fighting for his survival
Destiny 2 will be a new beginning for everyone
The vision for D2: A world that pulls you in, amazing things to do, always someone to play with
Red War campaign seems to be huge
Titans can summon shields (Sentinal)
Hunters can summon spears (Arcstrider)
Warlocks can summon a sword (Dawnblade)
New "empowering rift" ability
Class Abilities: Can be used by each class regardless of your current subclass. They recharge faster than Supers, but slower than Grenade/Melee abilities.
Titan- Throw down an energy cover/wall
Warlocks- Throw down some kind of AoE ability. Not sure what it does, but it looks like it grants healing.
Hunter- Was not shown in the stream, but it's rumored to be Shadestep.
Minigun confirmed
Grenade launcher confirmed
Dubious Volley confirmed
Ghaul is here because he believes the Traveler should have chosen the Cabal. He feels the Traveler is owed to him.
Kinetic, Energy, & Power weapon slot. No more primary, secondary, & heavy slots. Offering more freedom for weapon choosing
Crucible is now 4v4 across all game modes
New HUD in crucible shows if enemies have super & picked up power ammo
New capture & defend mode called Countdown
Can launch all activities in the world without going to orbit
Public events have heroic objectives
World's now have adventures, characters, side missions, dungeons, materials, treasure maps

5 RepliesJust quick note The Pro and Scorpio could easily run Destiny 2 at 60 fps @1080p res and higher The only reason consoles are stuck with 30 fps for Destiny 2 is so Bungie can run their SAME shtty 30 fps peer to peer network engine. Nerfing 6v6 to 4v4 is further proof. Lock it in PC will have dedicated servers or better. All Console owners who raised this game have been stepped on. Destiny 2 was in the perfect position to fix all this and now look. The more I learn the more Destiny 2 looks like a Reskin.

5 RepliesThe titan and warlock supers look cool, but it seems that the hunter one is just arc blade but slightly better, I hope I'm wrong and that the hunter super is really cool and unique. I also hope there are more than just one set of new supers, it would be disappointing if there is only 3 new supers in the whole game.

1 ReplyVery important. Warlock AOE aura can switch between healing and damage boost. Also, ABILITY UNLOCKS ON YOUR SUBCLASS. How will this "Ability Unlock" material work? Raid drop? Quest drop? Who knows

2 RepliesThe minigun might be an exotic autorifle that has extreme hip fire accuracy according to a couple of youtubers. Another thing is gunslingers have an explosive knife now that detonated after a bit of time and a dash that reloads your gun.

The AoE for the warlock includes impowerment rift, I believe it will be switchable like melee options. Frame rates were not confirmed only rumored. PC D2 will be on Bungie servers but include things like ingame chat and such from Blizzard. Clarify the new abilities for the Classes (Dawnblade, Sentinal, and Arcstrider) are supers most likely replacing the current subclass with the appropriate element. Clarify the different weapon types. Clarify RPG type maps. SMGs confirmed. Fixing done.

I mean is that if it is 30 fps for PS4 and Xbone, however there could be like other games that have PS4Pro support bringing up graphics to 4k60, perhaps even Scorpio support when it is released? Idk I'm looking around for an official source but coming up empty. Even [i]if[/i] it is 30, there [i]can[/i] be 4k60 support on the latest tech. Other games have the Pro support, why not D2? Especially knowing that the console community [i]knows[/i] it is possible, it would not seem wise by Bungie to bring less than the best when it comes to frame rate.

5 RepliesEdited by Sophon: 5/18/2017 9:20:58 PMNew abilities on current subclasses, gunslinger can chuck a knife that explodes after it his and they now have a dash/dodge ability similar to shadestep, striker has some kind of shield they put in the ground Three melee hits to kill someone and sticky grenades do not kill in one shot you have to finish them off after. Also probably only going to get 1 super per game on average and grenade/ability spam has been reduced. Getting this from live feeds from people there.
