Just wondering how come the vex aren't on the moon or earth.

I think they're trying one planet at a time due to lack of resources as they've fought the cabal a very long time and had alot invested in the VoG. Also the hive absolutely shafted them last time and due to sword logic they've grown more powerful since then. They know they're immune to the vex's signature erase from time card. That's Probably why they haven't tried earth or the moon.

They can't truly beat the Hive yet. They also aren't on Earth because, since they have a connection to the Deep (thanks Heart), the Traveler keeps them away.

I mean we did kinda wreck their dark heart god thingy in vanilla Destiny, so i'm pretty sure that might of had an impact on it some how.

Well the traveler stoped them at one point. Maybe that crippled them beyond repair
