I believe enough has been said for this topic... but holy shit, that card is rough. I've read it several times before, but now that we know Rezyl is Yor... it's rough.

I know, right. It's really kind of dark and depressing.
-
Now the question is... could it ever happen to Guardians we know right now.
-
In fact, it is. There is a cult known as the Shadows of Yor, which is a group of Guardians following in Dredgen Yor's footsteps and using their own Thorn's. They believe that they are staring enough to stand against the corruption and utilize the Dark, but we can clearly see in their cards that they are already beginning to become twisted and dark. I won't go into everything here, because that would take forever to type, but you can find more info on that in my Age of Triumph Grimoire Recap.

I know about them, but I was more reffering to Guardians we have actually met. Such as Zavala, or Cayde, or Ikora. I doubt it would happen to any of the Destiny 1 characters, but the Destiny 2 guardians that will be introduced might be a good target.

I don't think so, although we could hopefully eventually see the Shadows of Yor in game.

I'm hoping that we do eventually see them as well, and I'm thinking that D2 might include both them and the Concordat. If we do have to gather the City's old heroes to help us, we might get Shin Malphur to cone with if we help him defeat the Shadows of Yor. And if that's the case and we're fighting Guardian AI, I don't see why they would not implement the Concordat as well.

That it is, that is is. But it adds so much depth to Guardians, well in this case, Risen. We aren't [forced] to be good, and even our ghosts aren't these little tokens of righteousness. Our Light is simply power, but we can still choose how we use it. (Yes, I know warlords are evidence of this, but this card truly nails it down)
