Not true. My buddy has 7500 coins and almost 40000 motes. Never used them on his Xbox account. He has never bought heavy synths, except with glimmer or ether seeds, he has never used Xur. He never donates towards faction rank. He never upgrades his gear via motes or infuses items, yet he still has damn near every good roll weapon out there. He also is 19 and never had a job -living with his mother, so there's that.... . . . .
