Why doesn't anyone ever notice that the Titan is a damn gryphon.
it's not a lynx or a lion
The Hunter is a Serpent, the Titan is a Lion, the Warlock is a Roc. All three of these are modeled after traditional heraldic images. Look up heraldic Griffin. You'll see why no one is calling the above image that.
-
Yup, okay. Just one thing.
why does the "lion" have a damn beak... and heraldic lions Cleary do not. Is there species of bird lions out there? Are they Australian? Because if the exist they probably are.... that or Madagascar
-
It's not a beak. If you look closely you'll see a tongue underneath the the part that looks like a beak, and underneath that, blending with the shield is the rest of the Lion's mouth.
-
Then you name me a Griffin without wings.
-
Straight outta Wikipedia
Infrequently, a griffin is portrayed without wings, or a wingless eagle-headed lion is identified as a griffin. In 15th-century and later heraldry, such a beast may be called an alce or a keythong.
Fine, you can call it a Griffin. Feel better?
-
No.
I feel amazing.
