No mention of Kings or Winter? I find that a bit odd, because that would have made the mood so much more alarming in my opinion.

That's mainly because I wanted it to be a surprise to Erling that the Fallen houses are working together. In retrospect, I should've just said "The Fallen are attacking" as opposed to "the Devils are attacking." In any case, glad you're enjoying it!
