Honestly, this all seems a little fishy to me given the timing, the context and reasoning behind the firing, and that, in my opinion, completely out of place line about the investigation in the middle of Trump's letter (although maybe that's just Trump being Trump). I guess we'll just have to see how the investigation plays out from here and how Trump's appointee and/or special prosecutor handle it.

Yep... I was reading more into the deputy AG and he was appointed by W and was the only attorney Obama asked to stay... Seems he just became d-ag a couple of weeks ago... One theory that the guy came up with...(it was more his "to be fair" theory...) But the reasoning the d-ag gave to fire Comey is a pretty well agreed on statement, he DID act outside of FBI norms...(the fact it's coming from a gop administration makes it looks really strange)...but the d-ag could've just now been in a position to make his recommendation... Shit flying around saying Jeff sessions had been tasked with finding a reason to fire him kinda shoots that down tho...
